West Virginia county assessor denied bond restriction after allegedly pocketing thousands in car deal kickbacks

MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) -- Marshall County Assessor Eric Buzzard appeared in circuit court this afternoon, where his defense attorney, William Ihlenfeld, filed a motion to modify his bond.   About a month ago, Buzzard was arrested and charged with seven counts of felony fraud following an investigation into alleged misconduct involving the purchase of vehicles for the county.
