In two locations in the south of San Antonio mosquitoes gave positive to the West Nile Virus, the Metropolitan District of Health reported. Mosquitoes were collected on July 21, 2026 and three days later laboratory confirmation was obtained. One of the areas affected by mosquitoes infected by the virus is between New Laredo Hwy and McLaughlin Ave. The intersection is near the community of Quintana Road/South Zarzamora, south of the city center. …
