Experts are talking about the peak of the West Nile virus as 13 municipalities in the territory recorded cases within 1 week, raising the total number to 61. These are the municipalities of Kifisia, Metamorfosi, Filothei - Psychiko, Zografou, Agios Dimitrios, Moschatos - Tavros, Karditsa, Tyrnavos, Farsala, Thessaloniki Delta, Thessaloniki, Dion - Olympus Pieria and Chalkida.
