Police say the rider fled after an officer saw one-wheel stunts and captured the encounter on body camera.

- Officers travelling southbound on Highway 97 near Grizzly Road around 5:06 p.m. spotted the rider and signalled him to pull over, but the motorcyclist initially appeared compliant before accelerating away at high speed.
- Body-Worn camera footage captured a Caucasian man wearing a white helmet operating a white sports motorcycle. The RCMP discontinued the pursuit for public safety reasons.
- West Kelowna Media Resource Officer Constable Ash Puri called the behavior "reckless and unacceptable," stating that while Officers discontinued the stop for public safety, they remain "committed to identifying the rider."
