SINGAPORE, JUL 17 – WeRide's Robobus completed thousands of trips and safely transported tens of thousands of passengers during a year of trials before launch, supporting Singapore's autonomous vehicle integration goals.
- On July 17, 2025, WeRide began operating the region’s first autonomous bus service at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore without a safety operator on board.
- This event followed extensive testing under Singapore’s Land Transport Authority's AV assessment framework, which initially required a safety operator during over a year of service since June 2024.
- The Robobus runs a fixed 12-minute loop connecting key points in RWS and is equipped with lidar, cameras, and sensors that detect obstacles over 200 meters away in 360 degrees.
