Harjinder Kaur had a disappointing performance, finishing ninth in the women's 69kg weightlifting event. She lifted a combined total of 204kg, significantly below the competition. Kaur's efforts of 94kg in the snatch and 110kg in the clean and jerk were insufficient for medals. North Korea's Song Kuk-hyang dominated the event, breaking multiple world records with her lifts.

NAGOYA, Japan, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Song Kuk Hyang of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea smashed three world records on her way to winning the women's 69kg weightlifting title at the 20th Asian Games on Sunday. Song set a new world mark in the snatch with 121kg, then broke records in the clean and jerk with 152kg and in the combined total with 273kg.
