- The FDA noted that Listeria monocytogenes can lead to severe and potentially deadly illnesses in young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems, and may result in miscarriages or stillbirths in pregnant women. In contrast, individuals in good health typically experience milder, temporary symptoms.
- No illnesses have been reported so far, and customers are urged not to eat the products, returning them for full refunds, with Wegmans contacting affected shoppers via automated calls.
