Wednesday’s high school roundup: Westford’s Maddie Smith ties for second at state golf tournament

Westford Academy junior Maddie Smith again showed she’s one of the top girls high school golfers in Massachusetts. But Smith came up just short of capturing the state championship Wednesday at Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland. Smith fired an impressive round of 74 to tie for second.
