"We Have Doubts About What You Are Teaching Children": an Association for the Reception of Minors Near the Closed Bethune Mosque, Suspicions of Enterrism and Separatism
The Prefect of Pas-de-Calais issued an order on 24 August 2026 putting an end to the activities of the Association de l'accès aux savoirs (APAS), close to the mosque in Bethune. A measure for administrative, legal failings, but it also evokes suspicions of "entrism and separatism".
The Prefect of Pas-de-Calais issued an order on 24 August 2026 putting an end to the activities of the Association de l'accès aux savoirs (APAS), close to the mosque in Bethune. A measure for administrative, legal failings, but it also evokes suspicions of "entrism and separatism".
The prefect of Pas-de-Calais François-Xavier Lauch decided to close by prefectural decree the Apas, the multidisciplinary association of access to the knowledge of Bethune. According to the prefecture, this structure welcomes minors outside the regulatory framework.
