Consumers are expected to spend $1,552 this season, 5% less than last year, so shoppers should join store loyalty programs and sign up for deal alerts to maximize savings.
Giftcards.com already lists pre-Black Friday sales, with many offers as `Lightning Deals` until 100% claimed; Sam's Club and BJ's Wholesale Club offer member discounts up to 25% and 18%.
