Waynesboro to spend $164K of federal grant money on pedestrian safety

WAYNESBORO, VIRGINIA, JUL 16 – Waynesboro dedicates $164,000 of 2025 federal grant funds to design pedestrian crossings and wheelchair access in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, enhancing safety for vulnerable residents.

Waynesboro is developing an action plan to invest $164,000 of Community Development Block Grant funding in pedestrian safety in the city.
