Maximum temperature should reach values above 30 degrees in the generality of the territory of the continent
Eleven districts are under yellow warning and the maximums should exceed 30 degrees across the continent. The scenario coincides with maximum fire hazard in about 60 counties.
The hot weather forecast was extended from nine to 11 districts of Portugal Continental, most until 18:00 Tuesday, revealed today the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA). According to the IPMA, the gradual rise in temperature, since Saturday, is due to the influence of an anticyclone located to the north of the Azores.
