The Federal Government wants to prevent the additional contributions of the health insurance companies from rising again in 2026 – and has decided on a bill to reduce health expenditure. However, the health insurance companies are skeptical.
A savings package should help the health insurance companies, the contributions initially remained stable, says Nina Warken. However, the way in which the care insurance continues is open.
In order to avoid that the contributions for health insurances become more expensive, the government is now concretely anticipating - for example with spending restrictions at the clinics. Criticism comes from the opposition and patient protectors.
Federal Minister of Health Warken has confirmed that the costs for health insurance and care remain stable. CDU politician said in Deutschlandfunk that she would present a package in the cabinet today that would fill the funding gap.
With a savings package, Federal Health Minister Nina Warken wants to prevent the health insurance contributions from rising further. She can't breathe up yet.
