In the context of rising tensions in the Middle East, France is launching a new platform to secure its ammunition supplies and support its defence industry.
At the National Assembly on Wednesday 25 March, the Prime Minister drew announcements for the army, including an investment plan and the creation of the wholesaler "France Munitions", financed by the public and the private sector. The Chamber subsequently discussed the situation in the Near and Middle East, without a vote at the key.
The Prime Minister announced on Wednesday additional ammunition orders of €8.5 billion by 2030, as part of the update of the Military Programming Act (MPA).
