University event helps shift focus towards prevention of violence against women and girls
Academics and policing professionals from across the UK and US gathered at the University of Northampton (UON) last month for a networking event which aimed to make the nighttime economy safer for women and girls.
Wandsworth Park staff are receiving new training to help tackle harassment and make parks safer for women and girls.
The free bystander training, developed by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, is also open to the public. It teaches safe ways to step in when witnessing inappropriate behaviour. The scheme is part of the Council’s wider effort to tackle violence against women and girls.
