‘Wait till you discover…’: Rahul Gandhi reacts as Elon Musk ups ante over India’s telecom rules

- The Ministry of Communications stated the government maintains a "fair and non-discriminatory" authorization framework, with security assessments currently underway for all three applicants including Starlink and Reliance Jio.
- While Starlink has built 20 gateway sites in India, Reliance Jio is simultaneously developing a sovereign low earth satellite constellation costing an estimated $10–15 billion.
- Gandhi cautioned against compromising Brand India's interests to accommodate what he described as "crony distractions," stressing the importance of promoting innovation and maintaining the country's credibility in the global technology landscape.
