Italian Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe) won the 17th stage of the Tour of Spain. On the route from Valdeorras to the top of the demanding Morredero pass (143.2 km), he took advantage of a flirtation with the best in the overall standings to take his first victory of his career. The lead remained with Dane Jonas Vingegaard.
The 21-year-old Italian Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull) won the 17th Vuelta stage of O Barco de Valdeorras over 143.2 km on the steep Alto de El Morredero on Wednesday.
