With the deadline for new voter registration at 11:59pm on Monday 20 April fast approaching, we’re reminding all eligible residents in Edinburgh to register in time.

Deadlines to register to vote and for postal and proxy applications are approaching, with voters warned not to miss their chance to have their say. Anyone who has never registered to vote before, or has moved house or changed their name recently, needs to register to vote by 20 April 2026.
