A father and his daughter, experienced mountaineers, lost their lives on Saturday 19 July in the Alps as they set out to climb a needle of more than 4,000 metres.

A 56-year-old father and daughter, Pierre, and 24-year-old Elia, lost their lives during a mountaineering race on Mont Blanc on Friday 18 July. Passionate about the discipline, they would have been victims of a bad fall.
