As the main breeding area for lake trout in Gérardmer, the Phoeny avoided the lake this summer in contrast to 2022. As a result of improvements carried out since then, the lake's pumping system is capable of feeding the drinking water system and the stream at the same time. This has led to the avoidance of a major rescue fishery.
