Our case of the day is devoted to prison overcrowding. While it has long been spared, the prison of Epinal has been escaping since last year, to the point of having to regularly install mattresses on the ground. Released in January, after having been incarcerated for two years, a former Spinalian prisoner tells his experience: the overcrowding, but also the racket, the drugs and the violence present, according to him, in daily life.
