While the parent company imposed strict cost reductions and efficiency increases on a global level in order to improve competitiveness, the situation of the domestic subsidiary remained stable.
The management of the company group expects cost reductions and improved competitiveness from the brand.
The future of Audi's Győr factory is not in question, Audi CEO Gernot Döllner said on Monday in response to the Volkswagen Group's comprehensive efficiency improvement program, as part of which, according to German sources, it has already been suggested that the Hungarian plant could also be affected by the globally decided cost reduction.
