Vodafone Idea Q1 Results: Loss Narrows to Rs 3,754 Crore; Revenue Rises 6% YoY
Revenue rose 6% and ARPU climbed to Rs 195 as Vodafone Idea added subscribers for the first time since the merger.
Vodafone Idea Limited reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 3,754 crore for Q1FY27, reversing the exceptional profit from the preceding quarter, while revenue reached Rs 11,689 crore with 6% YoY growth.
Customer ARPU increased to Rs 195, marking a 10.2% YoY rise and the highest in the industry, while the total subscriber base reached 193.1 million in the first net subscriber addition quarter since the merger.
The company closed the quarter with 130.1 million 4G/5G subscribers, up from 127.4 million year-over-year. Its 4G population coverage expanded to 87%, with 5G services now live in over 200 cities.
CEO Abhijit Kishore noted capex orders worth Rs 9,000 crore have been placed to drive on-ground execution. EBITDA stood at Rs 5,034 crore, up 9.1% YoY, validating the company's disciplined strategy.
Ongoing conversations with lenders give the company confidence of successfully closing debt discussions, with bank debt at Rs 211 crore as of June 30, 2026. Cash and bank balance stood at Rs 6,558 crore, aided by warrant issuance proceeds.
