Vladimir Putin has once again announced a ceasefire in the Ukraine war over the World War II commemoration days. But the past has shown that such breaks often do not last long. This time, too, it should not be a serious signal of peace, but a propaganda show linked to political calculations.
"The ceasefire in force with Kyiv will last no longer than three days," Yuri Ushakov, Vladimir Putin's foreign policy advisor, said on Saturday. He also added that negotiations between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States are on hold. No agreements have been reached on the next round of talks.
