Preparations for a new tram-train network in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County are beginning, which could connect Miskolc, Tiszaújváros, Kazincbarcika and potentially Ózd by making more efficient use of the existing railway infrastructure. Minister of Transport and Investment Dávid Vitézy reported on the details of the project, which will directly connect fixed-track transport with the inner parts of the settlements, in his Facebook video.
The new tram network could make transportation easier for 210,000 people.
The new Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county railway network, the planning of which was announced by the Minister of Transport and Investment, may also connect the Miskolc and Ózd regions.
