Visalia Unified reaches one-year deal with teachers

Visalia Unified School District has reached a tentative agreement with the Visalia Unified Teachers Association on a new collective bargaining agreement.  The new agreement will run from July of this year through June 2026.  The big picture: Visalia Unified is giving teachers a $1.25% raise and is increasing health benefit costs by 9%.  Teachers will stay on the 184-day work year schedule under the new deal.  VUTA members voted to accept the ag…
