The highly pathogenic H5N1 flu virus has now caused enormous environmental and economic damage to the whole of Austria. However, a "immediately imminent pandemic" among humans is currently "unlikely", said virologist Florian Krammer on Monday afternoon at a conference of the Agency for Health and Food Security (AGES).
