Virgin Media O2 and Daisy unite to form £3bn business telecoms group
- On May 12, 2025, VMO2 Business, the corporate division of Virgin Media and O2, revealed its intention to combine its direct B2B operations in the UK with those of the Daisy Group.
- The merger aims to create a new entity combining their strengths to form a major force in UK business communications and IT sectors.
- The new business will have pro forma revenues of about £1.4 billion, serve hundreds of thousands of UK businesses, and be led by Matthew Riley as chair and Jo Bertram as CEO.
- Lutz Schüler, Virgin Media O2 CEO, called it “the perfect pairing” driving growth and digital transformation with projected £600 million operational synergies.
- The transaction, subject to regulatory approval and expected to close in early H2 2025, could enhance market competition and deliver a comprehensive UK business services offering.
