Pierre Kompany, the father of footballer Vincent Kompany, stepped in as Speaker of the House this evening. He replaced Vice-Chairman Wouter Vermeersch, who in turn replaced the 'real' Speaker of the House Peter De Roover. Last week, De Roover became the father of a son Marcel, together with Antwerp mayor Els van Doesburg.
