Billionaire Bolloré ordered to stand trial for 'bribery of a foreign public official' in Togo
French prosecutors suspect the Bolloré Group provided discounted consulting services to the presidential campaigns of Faure Gnassingbé in Togo and Alpha Condé in Guinea in 2010, both of whom went on to win. In return, Bolloré allegedly secured management of their countries' main ports.
The extreme right billionaire has been sent back to the correctional court for trial for having, according to the accusation, corrupted the president of Togo in 2010 in order to promote his harbour activities. He will appeal the order of dismissal and contest the facts that are accused of it.
