Vikings Sign Pro Bowl Right Tackle Brian O'Neill to Contract Extension
On Tuesday, the Minnesota Vikings signed Pro Bowl right tackle Brian O'Neill to a four-year, $96 million contract extension, keeping him with the team through the 2030 season.
A second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, O'Neill has been a stalwart for Minnesota, starting 120 of 124 career games since entering the league.
Recording an 81.6 overall Pro Football Focus grade last season, O'Neill ranked 12th out of 89 qualified tackles and earned Pro Bowl honors in 2021 and 2024.
Preventing O'Neill from playing the 2026 season on an expiring contract, general manager Nolan Teasley and head coach Kevin O'Connell finalized the deal days before training camp.
Facing a busy offseason with 20 upcoming unrestricted free agents after 2026, Teasley must evaluate other candidates, including Andrew Van Ginkel, a key defensive priority.
