On the evening of September 29th in Switzerland, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) announced the Global Innovation Index (GII) for 2026. Vietnam ranked 43rd out of 139 economies, an increase of one position compared to 2025.

According to the GII 2026 Report, Vietnam rose to 43rd globally, maintaining its 3rd position in ASEAN and excelling as a world leader in high-tech exports, further affirming its outstanding innovation capacity.
