Vietnam Launches NDAChain, the National Blockchain Platform to Accelerate Digital Data Infrastructure by 2026

VIETNAM, JUL 25 – NDAChain offers a secure, decentralized verification layer processing up to 3,600 transactions per second to support Vietnam’s digital transformation and data sovereignty, officials said.

  • On July 25, 2025, Vietnam launched NDAChain, a state-run blockchain network to verify digital transactions across sectors.
  • With over 100 million citizens generating data at exponential rates prompted the launch, as centralized data models proved vulnerable to cyberattacks, poor scalability and limited global integration.
  • Built as a layer-1 permissioned blockchain, NDAChain runs on a Proof-of-Authority consensus protocol enhanced with Zero-Knowledge Proofs, capable of processing up to 3,600 transactions per second and operating on 49 public-private validator nodes.
  • NDAChain is more than a technological platform- it represents Vietnam's aspiration for digitization, integration, and sustainable growth, a Data Innovation and Exploitation Center representative said, and the government said the NDAKey application will enable identity verification in seconds to prevent scams and digital identity theft.
  • By the end of 2025, NDAChain will be fully integrated into the National Data Center and expanded to local governments and universities next year, aligning with the DTI Law set to take effect on January 1, 2026.
