Man Accused of Recording Victim in Restroom, Using Pepper Spray at Home Depot, MDSO Says
- Sheldon Lewis Beck, 23, was arrested on June 30 for secretly recording and pepper-spraying a man in a Home Depot restroom on May 14 in Homestead.
- The incident began when the victim saw Beck naked with an open stall door and a cellphone with three lenses recording him from the adjacent stall.
- After the victim confronted Beck and alerted store staff, Beck sprayed him with pepper spray and left the store carrying the canister, while wearing a Burger King uniform.
- Authorities found Beck at his home, recovered a matching cellphone, and reported he bit a deputy during processing; bond was set at $12,650 and he faces voyeurism and battery charges.
- Beck was placed on house arrest with orders to stay away from the Home Depot, and investigations continue with Burger King and Home Depot declining to comment on his employment status.
