Vienna-Schwechat Airport recorded a decline of 3.2 percent to 14.3 million passengers this year in the first half of the year. Cheap airlines such as Wizz Air therefore turn their backs on the airport or, like Ryanair, withdraw aircraft from the Vienna location and switch to Bratislava at significantly lower costs.
