The Yemeni army reported that the Houthis were threatening civilian air safety in the southern Red Sea with Iranian-made weapons. It was also announced that 10 Yemeni soldiers were killed in clashes in Taiz and Lahij.
The Yemeni army, on Saturday, said that it monitored the use of Iranian air defence weapons by Al-Houthi in ways that it said threatened the safety of civil aviation and international air routes south of the Red Sea. This came in a statement by the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid al-Nizili, published by the Armed Forces Information Centre.
The Yemeni armed forces have declared that the Al-Houthi militia is using Iranian air defence weapons with innovative techniques, and have warned Yemeni government forces that the use of these Iranian weapons by Al-Houthi threatens United Nations aircraft and humanitarian organizations.
