In Paris on Saturday, 46 people, including three minors, were arrested on the sidelines of a banned demonstration by a far-right group. Individuals who participated in a banned anti-fascist counter-demonstration were also arrested. The French news agency AFP learned this from the Paris police and the public prosecutor's office.
Both the C9M demonstration and the anti-fascist counter-demonstration were banned by the police prefecture. Several activists from each camp were arrested this Saturday.
"Fifty-nine ultra-right and ultra-left activists were arrested on Saturday in the centre of Paris," said the police prefecture.
