Every first Sunday in September, the flower parade of Zundert takes place in the south of the Netherlands. With nearly half a million flowers per tank, this much-awaited event in the commune attracts crowds.
The annual flower parade in Zundert attracted approximately 45,000 visitors on Sunday, according to the organizers. This year marks the 90th edition, and Sunday was designated as an ‘anniversary day’.
The images show the Zundert Flower Parade, an annual event where impressive floats are fully decorated. The first edition was organized in 1936. Since 1937, the parade has taken place every year on the first Sunday of September. The event is the largest dahlia parade in the world and was the first Dutch tradition to be included in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
