Deadly Crash Happens North of Maquoketa

(Maquoketa, IA) — According to Jackson County authorities, one person was killed in a two car crash just north of Maquoketa, Iowa on the 4th of July.  A 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser was travelling northbound on Huntsville Road.  For an unknown reason, the Chrysler crossed the center divider line and struck a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder in a head on collision.  The accident occurred at 4:30 pm Friday afternoon.  One person was killed on the scene and one …

Lang 7/4/25 One victim was airlifted to University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City after a deadly two-vehicle accident in Jackson County. The Iowa State Patrol says a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser was northbound on Hurstville Road north of Maquoketa at 4:30 Friday afternoon when it crossed the centerline and struck a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder head-on.
