Vice-Minister of Finance: Brussels Against Large-Scale Measures to Reduce Fuel Prices

In view of the continued increase in fuel prices due to the war in the Middle East and the proposal by the Ministry of Finance to temporarily reduce the excises on diesel fuel, the Vice-Minister of Finance said that the European Commission (EC) called on member countries not to apply large-scale measures to lower fuel prices – she feared that it might slow the Community's transition to renewable energy.
