Veterans from Walthall, Pike, Lawrence and Marion counties in Mississippi, as well as Washington Parish, La., are invited to a recognition and celebration service Thursday, Aug. 13, at the Tylertown Events Center, 29 Highway 48 E. The event, hosted by American Legion Posts 56 and 120 of Walthall County, will begin at 5:30 p.m.
