The West Georgia Veterans Council is seeking volunteers to place flags on the graves of deceased veterans. The council provides the mini American flags each year to pay respect to fallen veterans on Memorial Day. Veteran Bernard Bledsoe of the Marine Corps League said the tradition dates back to at least the 1970s, The council is seeking help from the public to place the flag markers on Sunday, May 25, starting at 1 p.m. at Shadowlawn Cemetery …
