Veteran defensive lineman Mauldin IV comes out of retirement to sign with B.C. Lions
The veteran defensive lineman posted a league-leading 17 sacks in 2022 and earned two All-CFL selections before returning from retirement.
On Monday, Lorenzo Mauldin ended his CFL retirement, signing with the Lions in VANCOUVER.
Mauldin previously played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Ottawa Redblacks, and Calgary Stampeders across his CFL career.
During his tenure with Ottawa, the 257-pound defender recorded 150 tackles and 32 sacks; he earned All-CFL status twice and posted a league-leading 17 sacks in 2022.
His resume includes an appearance in the 19 Grey Cup game against Winnipeg, bringing championship experience to the Lions defensive line.
The Lions also added American offensive lineman Tyran Walker-Hunt to the practice roster as part of recent personnel adjustments.
