Verna “Gayle” Hammonds, 75, of Calvert City, KY, died February 12, 2026, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, KY. She was born July 12, 1950, in Golden Pond, KY, to the late James Carl Watkins and the late Wanda Duff Peek.
