Collision in Hope Closes Highway 3 for Several Hours
RCMP say the driver remained at the scene and alcohol is not believed to be a factor as investigators continue their review.
- On Wednesday, Sept. 23, a pedestrian died after being struck by a Ford pickup truck on Highway 3 in Hope. The incident occurred five kilometres east of town, closing the route for several hours.
- Reports of a pedestrian walking in the slow lane on Highway 5 preceded the collision, which Hope RCMP responded to at 8:38 p.m. Upon arrival, officers pronounced the individual dead at the scene.
