The BART service between Hayward and Union City was suspended on Monday afternoon, shortly after 4:00 p.m., due to a vegetation fire, the agency reported. Firefighters are fighting a weed fire between the BART stations of South Hayward and Union City, and the service at both stations has been interrupted. Bus service is offered through the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District via line 9, BART said.
