In the case of the three nuns who returned to the vacant Goldenstein Monastery in Salzburg against the wishes of their superior, the matter is still in Rome's hands. The Dicastery, a department of the Roman Curia in the Vatican, has not yet made a final decision on whether they will be allowed to remain permanently at the monastery.
