Moldovans that will exceed the basic energy consumption ceilings will pay higher bills. The Government proposes the introduction of a differentiated VAT system on 1 April 2027: monthly consumption of up to 150 m3 of gas and 100 kWh of electricity will be protected by reduced quotas, while volumes that exceed these limits will be taxed at a standard rate of 20%.
