The Marseille Public Prosecutor's Office announced this Saturday that an international synthetic drug manufacturing network, mainly based in the Var, has been dismantled.

A major judicial operation led to the seizure of 215 kg of methamphetamine in the Var region and the dismantling of a clandestine laboratory linked to an international network. This operation follows the arrest in June 2024 in the Var of two people carrying 215 kg of methamphetamine.

After several months of investigation, the gendarmes of Marseille and Toulon as well as customs officers jointly allowed the arrest of 18 people involved in an international synthetic drug manufacturing network based in the Var hinterland.
