From 1 August 2025, the Romanians will charge tax in addition to apartments and houses. According to the new tax measures announced by the Bolojan Government, any accommodation will be taxed with 21% of the purchase price. Article Increases rates for apartments and houses in Romania. As soon as they have to remove the owners from their booking since 1 August, they will have to stay in Romania TV for the first time.
The Romans will pay more for food, energy, medicine and housing, once the VAT has grown since 1 August. A 100-piece shopping basket will be purchased with 2 litres and a 120,000-euro apartment will cost more than 14,000 euros.
